To update medical advancements and introduce new technology applications in clinical support, E Hospital, in collaboration with Mirari Import-Export Joint Stock Company, organized the workshop “Application of Mirari Cold Plasma in Wound Care – Aesthetics – Dermatology – Musculoskeletal – Pain Relief” on July 15, 2025.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the E Hospital Board of Directors, specialists in Surgery, Dermatology, Rehabilitation, along with numerous experts and medical staff from various regional hospitals. Speakers presented the biological mechanism and clinical efficacy of the Mirari Cold Plasma device, shared practical treatment experience, and analyzed illustrative images from clinical cases applying this technology.

At the scientific workshop, leading experts shared important clinical knowledge, from the physiology of wound healing to practical device application. Experts noted that Cold Plasma (Cold Atmospheric Plasma – CAP) is considered one of the most advanced medical technologies today for wound care, anti-inflammation, antimicrobial, and aesthetic support. Key details include:
- Wound Healing Physiology: The Symphony of Tissue Recovery
The wound healing process occurs in 4 basic stages:
- Hemostasis: occurs in the first few minutes, including vasoconstriction, platelet aggregation, and fibrin mesh formation.
- Inflammation: occurs during the first week, helps fight infection, removes debris and necrotic tissue via leukocytes and macrophages.
- Proliferation: fibroblasts and endothelial cells proliferate, epithelialization progresses from wound edges, and sweat glands begin covering the damaged area.
- Remodeling (Maturation): scar tissue reorganizes, collagen type III converts to type I, tissue strength increases – lasting up to 2 years.
Chronic wounds often remain in the prolonged inflammation stage due to factors such as necrosis, infection, malnutrition, advanced age, or chronic diseases (diabetes, peripheral vascular disease…). These wounds impose significant costs and reduce patients’ quality of life.
- Mirari Cold Plasma – A Breakthrough Solution for Tissue Treatment
Active components of cold plasma include:
- Reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS/RNS): antimicrobial, immune modulation, promotes cell proliferation.
- Ultraviolet (UV) radiation: mild sterilization support.
- Weak electric field: alters cell membrane potential, enhances drug penetration.
- Ionized gas molecules: trigger redox reactions, regulate microenvironment of damaged tissue.
Clinical treatment mechanisms:
- Broad-spectrum antimicrobial: effective against Gram-negative/positive bacteria, multi-resistant strains, fungi, viruses (MRSA, Candida, Aspergillus…).
- Anti-inflammatory and analgesic: regulates NO, inhibits oxidative stress, reduces pain signaling.
- Stimulates wound healing: promotes fibroblast and collagen proliferation, activates epithelialization.
- Potential oncology applications: induces programmed cell death (apoptosis).
- Effective hemostasis: promotes local coagulation in actively bleeding wounds.
- Clinical Applications by Specialty
🔹 Surgery – Aesthetic Surgery
- Supports post-operative wound healing, shortens recovery time.
- Reduces risk of hypertrophic scars, flattens scar tissue.
🔹 Burns – Chronic Wounds – Pressure Ulcers
- Antimicrobial, controls inflammation, facilitates granulation tissue growth.
- Effective for exudative, infected, or slow-healing wounds.
🔹 Dermatology – Aesthetics
- Post-aesthetic surgery applications.
- Improves skin quality, reduces scarring through collagen regulation and skin remodeling.
🔹 Rehabilitation – Chronic Pain
- Reduces neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain.
- Suitable for sports injury rehabilitation.
- Notes on Using Mirari Cold Plasma
- Supportive treatment, does not replace surgery in cases of large tissue loss or skin grafting.
- Use according to technical guidelines: distance, exposure time, gas flow, and energy settings.
- Most effective when combined with standard wound care (debridement, moisture maintenance, nutrition, etc.).
Numerous images have documented the practical efficacy of Mirari Cold Plasma on burns, diabetic foot wounds, post-aesthetic surgery wounds, and chronic infected wounds. Granulation tissue recovers quickly, epithelialization is evident, and pain reduction is noticeable from the first week.
Conclusion
Mirari Cold Plasma is a safe, versatile, and highly effective technology in both microbial control and tissue regeneration. With broad applicability across specialties, it opens new opportunities in wound care, aesthetics, and infection management without relying on antibiotics.
Through this workshop, medical professionals not only learned advanced treatment methods but also exchanged expertise and contributed ideas to optimize the application of Mirari Cold Plasma in modern healthcare in Vietnam.
