On March 7, 2026, at Tue Tinh Hospital – Vietnam National Academy of Traditional Medicine, an international scientific workshop entitled “Application of MIRARI Cold Plasma in Supporting the Treatment of Wounds, Dermatology, and Musculoskeletal Disorders” was held.
The event was jointly organized by Tue Tinh Hospital and Mirari Import Export Joint Stock Company.
The workshop attracted the participation of medical experts, scientists, representatives from hospitals, research institutes, and partners in the biomedical technology sector both in Vietnam and internationally.
The event aimed to provide an academic forum to introduce preliminary research results, exchange clinical experiences, and discuss the potential applications of cold plasma technology in medical practice in Vietnam.
MIRARI Cold Plasma Technology and Its Potential Applications in Medicine
Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) is an ionized gas state generated at near room temperature, producing a variety of biologically active species such as reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS/RNS).
These reactive agents may interact with biological tissues through several mechanisms, including:
- supporting microbial control
- modulating inflammatory responses
- stimulating tissue regeneration and wound healing
Due to these characteristics, MIRARI cold plasma technology has attracted growing interest from research centers worldwide for applications in wound care, dermatology, rehabilitation, and pain management.
During the workshop, experts introduced the MIRARI Cold Plasma System, a handheld atmospheric cold plasma medical device designed to support clinical applications in wound care, dermatology, and rehabilitation.
Presentation of Preliminary Clinical Case Studies
One of the key highlights of the workshop was the presentation of scientific reports on clinical case studies involving the application of MIRARI cold plasma therapy.
Physicians from Tue Tinh Hospital and Hoe Nhai General Hospital presented preliminary research findings in several clinical fields:
1. Musculoskeletal Disorders
A study on patients with periarthritis of the shoulder showed that MIRARI cold plasma therapy combined with electroacupuncture may help reduce pain and improve shoulder joint mobility.
Another study on knee osteoarthritis was conducted to evaluate the potential of MIRARI cold plasma therapy in improving pain symptoms and functional mobility in patients.
2. Dermatology
In the dermatology field, researchers from Tue Tinh Hospital presented preliminary clinical observations on the treatment of acne vulgaris, in which MIRARI cold plasma therapy was combined with traditional medicine treatments.
3. Wound Care
The workshop also introduced clinical case reports on the use of MIRARI cold plasma therapy in post-hemorrhoid surgery wound care, with the aim of supporting pain reduction, microbial control, and accelerated wound healing.
Preliminary findings suggest that MIRARI cold plasma technology may have potential as a supportive therapeutic approach in several medical conditions. However, experts emphasized that larger-scale clinical studies are still required to fully evaluate the efficacy and safety of this technology in real-world clinical settings.
Promoting Research Collaboration and Biomedical Innovation
Speaking at the workshop, representatives of Mirari Import Export Joint Stock Company stated that collaboration with medical institutions and scientific researchers to promote the study and application of MIRARI cold plasma technology in Vietnam is one of the company’s key strategic priorities.
Through collaborative research initiatives with hospitals and medical training institutions, the company aims to contribute to the development of a scientific evidence base for cold plasma applications in medicine, while also supporting technology transfer and professional training for healthcare professionals.
Opening New Research Directions in Medicine
Experts participating in the workshop noted that Vietnam is entering a period of rapid population aging, leading to a growing demand for non-invasive, safe, and effective supportive treatment methods.
The systematic study and evaluation of new biomedical technologies such as MIRARI cold plasma, when conducted rigorously and in compliance with professional medical regulations, could open new approaches to healthcare—particularly in the fields of wound care, dermatology, and rehabilitation medicine.
The scientific workshop held on March 7, 2026, marks an important initial step toward building a collaborative research network for the development and clinical evaluation of MIRARI cold plasma technology in Vietnam, with the ultimate goal of improving healthcare quality for patients.
